artist statement

Most -if not all- of artmaking is an extension of humanity. If I try to rationalize or philosophize my art making, I find that it (the act of artmaking, itself) takes on an unnatural form.

Logic and reason are devices of humankind, not extensions of it.

Therefore, in an effort to retain my sense of humanity, I try not to think too hard about the things I make.

For now, I want to just focus on the making.

"Don't tell me what I am doing; I don't want to know! What a way to live. The only way. For by pretending at ignorance, the intuition, curious at seeming neglect, rears its invisible head and snakes out through your palmprints in mythological forms." - Ray Bradbury
